How to edit and change text in a pdf file

Download and install our PDF Editor. Click on File/Open. Click on the text you want to change and edit it in the property editor at the bottom of the main window.

How to edit text in a scanned pdf file

Scanned PDF files do not contain text objects so you need to select the picture and call the picture editor over the property panel at the bottom of the main window. There you can select the clone brush object to remove existing text. You hold the sift key down and click into a part of the picture where only background is shown. Now you can release the shift key and move over the text. The background will be copied over the text, this will remove the text.

Click on the form fields and change the text in the property editor. If no form field exists click on the form tools section at the left side to choose a form tool. When the tool is selected click into the document to add the fields. If you want to add text without a form field you can use the text tool in the toolbar instead.

You find the markup tools in the annotations section of the tool bar. For pdf text objects you can use to highlight, underline and strikeout tools. For other pdf objects you can use the free highlight tool.

Open the first file with File/Open. Start the page manager with Page/Page manager to manage the pages of a pdf file. Click on Add pdf files to select the other pdf files to combine with the first pdf file.

How to move objects in the pdf file

Select the objects with the pointer tool (hold CTRL down to select multiple objects). Click into the selection and hold the mouse button down. Move the mouse to move the selected objects. If you release the mouse button all objects will be moved. If the objects are selected you are able to move them using the arrow keys of your keyboard too. Or you may click on Transform in the property editor at the bottom of the main window and use the move function there to move the selected pdf file objects.
